Where can I use or donate to the Purple Box?

The Purple Box is where women who need them can get hold of period products for free. Purple Boxes in Midlothian’s council buildings are free to use, just take what you need. People who want to help can do so by donating products directly into the Purple Box. Thank you for your support!

We started creating Purple Box places in February 2018 across Midlothian, and more locations are being added all the time. See Map for all Purple Box Places.

    1. Thanks Beryl! We are hoping that if this project is a success in Midlothian, that other areas might start running it too. In parallel to this is the initiative from the Scottish Government to supply free sanitary products to girls in school, starting in August this year- we are hoping that could potentially be extended to anyone who needs it.
