The Purple Box Place

Hello and welcome to the Purple Box project – supporting women needing access to sanitary products in Midlothian, Scotland.

Our motto: “If you need it, take it – if you can spare it, donate it”

Starting in Spring 2018, women and girls needing sanitary products are able to get them from Purple Boxes in 7 libraries all over Midlothian.  See current locations.

This service is 100% provided through donations – if you wish to help out, please pop into one of the libraries and donate some sanitary products into the purple box. These can be tampons, sanitary towels, menstrual cups or anything else you think would be helpful!

Women for Independence supports Independence for Women – and having access to sanitary products is a pretty fundamental part of being independent.
